BSW’s innovative IRO Timber range has been awarded a coveted industry standard accreditation.
The unique range of heat enhanced architectural cladding and decking timbers has been awarded both the CladMark and DeckMark certifications from the Timber Decking and Cladding Association (TDCA).
The DeckMark and CladMark schemes aim to help anyone specifying, designing, installing or purchasing decking and cladding to ensure that the products they are buying are both fit for purpose and of the highest quality.
Janet Sycamore, Director of Operations at TDCA, said: “We’re pleased to finally be able to announce that BSW Timber’s IRO Timber range has gained DeckMark and CladMark accreditation with the TDCA.
“It’s an exciting product that we think really demonstrates the capabilities of timber as a material, from both a visual perspective and performance perspective.”
James Brennan, Marketing Manager at BSW Timber, said: “Everyone here is extremely proud that IRO Timber is now DeckMark and CladMark accredited.
“It’s fantastic to see that IRO is being recognised by regulatory bodies for the high-quality product range that it is.”
“The DeckMark and CladMark schemes are vital in ensuring that those involved with the purchase of decking and cladding products throughout the country can be assured that they are purchasing quality goods – and we’re happy to say that IRO Timber meets these criteria.”
The TDCA is an independent and not-for-profit organisation, which acts as a technical and advisory body for the UK timber decking and timber cladding industries.
IRO architectural timber is crafted using an intricate seven-step process that sees the timber sawn, kiln dried, charred, brushed, high pressure treated and coated in Rubio Monocoat’s coloured wood cream. The result is a beautiful, unique range of cladding and decking products that add charm and character to an array of spaces.
Created using the traditional Japanese method of Yakisugi, IRO is available in a range of 15 colours to complement every environment.
