BSW Timber has helped to create a ‘play forest’ for a group of ‘Little Learners’ in Inverlochy.
BSW’s Fort William site has donated timber to create an exciting new outdoor play area at Little Learners Nursery in neighbouring Inverlochy village.
Fondly named ‘The Forest’ by the nursery’s children, the area has utilised timber from the mill to build both a tree house and a bug hotel to help pupils learn about the natural environment around them.
The timber donation was made by BSW and kindly delivered to the nursery with the help from Travis Perkins’ Fort William branch.
Olly Stephen, Mill Manager at BSW Fort William, said: “We were approached by the local Travis Perkins branch about the project and were happy to help the Little Learners create their fantastic new ‘forest’ area.
“We always try to help out the local community whenever we can, and I hope the children enjoy their new play area for years to come.”
Mairi Page, Manager at Little Learners Nursery, said: “We are delighted to open our ‘forest’ which makes the outdoors even more accessible for the children. It will be a great additional, natural learning environment for all our children.
“On behalf of the nursery, we would like to thank the companies and individuals who gave us their materials, their time and used their skills to build this wonderful garden – it is a great example of the community working together. Thank you all so much!”
